Ways to Help Others
Apart from providing immediate support to your family, friends and neighbors, many parents and students will want to go above and beyond by helping others in our Houston community. However, with so many at need, it is often confusing to know what to do, and which organizations are well organized to provide the biggest impact.

FEMA advises you to consult the Texas Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster list of approved organizations (TXVOAD) to find approved volunteer groups. Bear in mind that not all volunteer efforts are suitable for younger children and so it is always best to check with the local effort organizer first.
  • Volunteer with the Red Cross (currently in urgent need of volunteers)
  • Mission Squash will be coordinating student clean-up volunteer efforts in the near future, and when it is safe to do so. In the mean time, if you are in a position to be able to help other Mission Squash families, please reach out to us so that we can connect you with those families directly.
