Mission Control: where our students become stars

In the summer of 2015, Mission Squash renovated an 80-year old gym space within James S. Hogg Middle School, in the Heights area of Houston, Texas, to create three international-sized squash courts and a purpose-built academic classroom with office.

These are the first squash courts built within a public school in the United States.

In the fall of 2015, Mission Squash began offering in-school P.E. courses for the students of Hogg Middle School. In our first Semester alone, over 200 children from low income families played squash on our courts as part of their PE program.

Hogg is the first public school in the U.S. to offer on-site squash as an official P.E. credit.

After an extensive tryout process, we hand-picked 45 of our most promising students and enrolled them in our inaugural Scholarship program. Each scholarship student is exposed to 200+ hours of squash, academic support and enrichment every year. Our program can serve up to 130 students.

We still have work to do! You can help us.
